Your project, always at hand.
Say what you need in plain language. The assistant searches the project, reads the documents, looks up assets, issues, RFIs and planner data, creates the records you ask for and shows you what it did, with a link to every source it used.

What you can do
Ask about anything in the project
Which issues on UPS1B01 are still open? The assistant searches the issues, reads them and answers with the priority, the assignee and the last comment. Mention a person with @ and an asset with # to point it at the exact record.
Read a nameplate from a photo
Attach the picture and ask it to update the asset. Voltage, serial number and power are read from the nameplate and written to the asset's technical fields. On the phone, the camera is one tap away in the composer.
Create all the assets from an Excel
Drop the equipment schedule into the chat. The assistant reads the workbook, maps the columns and creates the assets with their tags, descriptions, locations and serial numbers, then shows the list it created.
Answers with their sources
Citations open the document at the exact page or the script at the right section. Source chips under the answer show which assets, issues, people or documents it drew on, and each one opens the record.
Documents it writes for you
Ask for a report, minutes or a memo and it is saved in your files as a Word document, a PDF or a Markdown file, with a preview and versions like any other document. A client's form or a one-page test sheet can be reproduced as an exact-layout PDF.
Long jobs run in the background
For a job with several steps, a Tasks card shows the plan and its progress. Close the tab or put the phone away and the finished answer is waiting when you come back, with a notification when it is ready. Up to three chats can work at the same time.
How a team uses it
- 1
An engineer opens the chat drawer next to the page they are working on and asks which issues are open on an asset; the answer comes back with a source chip for each issue.
- 2
On site, they photograph a nameplate from the phone and ask the assistant to update the asset; the fields are written to that record.
- 3
The project admin attaches the equipment schedule and asks for all the assets to be created; the assistant maps the columns and creates them.
- 4
A document controller asks for a report on the week's issues; it is written and saved as a Word document in the project files.
- 5
Every change the assistant makes is summarised in an effects card, and the approval mode decides whether it asks first or runs on its own.
In more detail
Where you find it
A full chat page with your conversation history, a drawer that opens next to any page so you can chat while you work, and the first screen of the mobile app. The same assistant runs inside Word and Excel and on your desktop.
Attach files and project documents
Pick files with the + button, drag them onto the composer or paste an image. Images, videos, PDFs and Office or text documents are accepted, up to 10 files per message and 60 MB per file. Drag a document or a folder from Documentation and nothing is uploaded again.
Several assistants, one per kind of work
The Commissioning Assistant works with the project's issues, assets, documents and scripts, draws and edits 3D layouts, builds dashboards, reads CAD drawings and administers the project, each as far as your role allows. The General Assistant brings engineering knowledge, web search and your own files.
Memories, thinking mode and voice
Give the assistant standing context it keeps across conversations, globally or per project, from the Memories tab in Settings. Raise the thinking mode for a hard question and lower it again afterwards. Dictate a message with the microphone instead of typing.

Questions
Yes. It searches and reads the documents of your project, and you can attach a file or drag a document from Documentation into the chat. Its answers cite the document at the exact page, so you can check the source in one click.
It can create an issue, update an asset, create assets from a spreadsheet, write a document, draw a layout or create a meeting, always within your own permissions. The approval mode in the chat decides whether every change asks first, only critical ones do, or none do; a few actions, such as sending an email, ask in every mode.
Yes. The chat is the first screen of the mobile app. Take a photo with the camera, dictate your message, answer approval cards on the phone, and get a push notification when a long answer is ready.
