Works with the services you already use.
Connections link the assistant to services you already use, so you can ask for "the last email from the contractor about pump P-101", "what is on my calendar tomorrow?" or "the test plan in my OneDrive" right in the chat. You connect a service once from your settings and it works in every chat you open.

What you can do
Outlook mail
Search your mail and read messages and whole conversations, organise folders and categories, save an attachment into your files so it can be read and searched like any document, and write a draft with project files attached. Sending is a separate step that shows you the recipients, subject, text and attachments and waits for your approval. The assistant cannot delete mail.
Outlook Calendar
See your agenda and the details of an event, check when people are free and suggest meeting times, and add an appointment to your own calendar. Invitations, changes, replies and cancellations reach other people, so they always ask first.
OneDrive and SharePoint
Browse your OneDrive or a team site's document libraries, search by file name and by content, open a file from a sharing link you paste, and save a copy into your project. Upload a project file back as a new file, create folders, rename or move. Files up to 50 MB.
Autodesk Construction Cloud and Procore
List the ACC and BIM 360 projects you belong to, filter their issues, read RFIs and submittals, browse the Files area and save a file into your project. In Procore, read RFIs, submittals, punch items, observations, documents and drawings. Creating an issue, a punch item or an RFI draft in either platform asks for your approval. Both are available on request.
Notion and Gmail
Search your Notion workspace, read pages and databases, and create or update pages, comments and database rows. With Gmail, search and read your mail, see your labels, save attachments to your files and create drafts; the assistant never sends email from Gmail.
Your own server
Add any server that speaks MCP, the open protocol for connecting assistants to other systems: give it a name and its URL, sign in or paste a token, and its actions are available in your chats. Available on request.
How a team uses it
- 1
Each person opens Settings, Connections and clicks Connect on a card. The sign-in happens on Microsoft's, Google's, Notion's, Autodesk's or Procore's own page; the app never sees that password.
- 2
In any chat they ask in plain language. There is nothing to switch on; a status line such as "Asking Outlook…" shows while the assistant works.
- 3
"Find the emails from Ana about the switchgear delivery and summarise them", then "Save the PDF attached to that email and tell me what the delivery date is".
- 4
"Search the project library for the latest switchgear FAT report and save it": the copy lands in their files, where it can be read and searched like any other document.
- 5
"Draft a reply saying the test is moved to Friday, and attach the test plan": the draft waits in Outlook, and a send shows the full message on a card before anything goes out.
In more detail
Connections are yours only
They belong to your account, not to a project: they work in your chats whatever project you are in, and nobody else on your team can use them. Each person connects their own accounts. Connections are managed in the web app and, once connected, also work when you chat from the mobile app.
Choose what the assistant may do
Open a connected card and every action the service offers is listed with a read or write badge. Switch one off to hide it from the assistant completely, for example the send actions on Outlook if you never want the assistant to send mail.
What is stored
Only the access you granted, stored encrypted and tied to your account. Your mailbox, calendar, drives, sites and projects are not copied into the app: the assistant looks things up only when a request in your chat needs it. The one exception is a file or attachment you ask it to save. Removing a connection deletes the stored access straight away.
Reading a PDF from OneDrive or SharePoint
Plain-text files are read in place. PDF, Word, Excel and image files are saved as a copy into your files first, and nothing changes in OneDrive or SharePoint. Ask "find the pump test plan in my OneDrive, save it and tell me the acceptance criteria" and both steps happen in one request.

Questions
No. Sending from Outlook always shows a card with the recipients, the subject, the text and the names of any attached files, and waits for you to approve it. Gmail connections create drafts for you to send from Gmail yourself; the assistant never sends from Gmail.
Gmail, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Procore and your own servers are switched on one account at a time. If the Connect button on a card is greyed out, email info@cx-assistant.com from your account and the team enables it. Autodesk and Procore also need their administrator to add the Cx Assistant app on their side.
No. A connection belongs to your account and is not shared with your projects. Each person on the team connects their own accounts, and the assistant only reaches the sites, files and projects that person's own account can open.
