Your site plan, live in 3D.
A layout is an interactive 3D floor plan of your site: draw the walls over a PDF drawing, place your equipment, draw the cable trays and pipes that connect it, and see the live status of every linked asset on the plan. Open issues appear pinned exactly where they are in the field.

What you can do
Trace a PDF drawing
Upload the floor plan PDF as an underlay, click the two ends of a known dimension to set its scale, and trace the walls over it in real metres. Rooms, doors and windows snap onto the walls you draw.
Place equipment from a library
The library is grouped by family: transformers, switchgear, racks, pumps, tanks and more, each with a 3D preview and its size in metres. It also holds outdoor substation equipment from 11 to 400 kV and 45 furniture and fit-out items for offices and welfare areas.
Link equipment to assets for live status
Link an object on the plan to a project asset and it shows a status marker in the project's colours with the asset ID. Rest the pointer on it for the type, status and linked issues; click it to open the asset.
Routes: cable trays, busbars, pipes, ducts and conduit
Draw a run as a centreline with its profile and elevation, the way a single-line diagram is drawn. For substations, rigid and strung bus, droppers, jumpers, cables and trenches carry a phase colour and land on the equipment's connection points.
Pin issues where they are
Pick an issue and click the spot on the plan. On the phone, pin from where you stand or create a new issue on the spot; pins placed on the phone appear in the web editor within a second.
Ask the assistant to draw it
Describe the plan in chat, a 20 × 12 m data hall with two rows of ten racks, or attach the PDF drawing, and the assistant draws the walls, rooms, equipment and routes, links them to your assets and checks connectivity and clashes before it posts the layout card.
How a team uses it
- 1
A project admin creates the layout, anchors it to a building and uploads the floor plan PDF as the underlay.
- 2
An engineer sets the scale, traces the walls and rooms and places the equipment from the library, or describes the plan in chat and lets the assistant draw it.
- 3
Each piece of equipment is linked to its asset and each room to its location, so the plan follows the project from then on.
- 4
On site, the team opens the layout on the phone, sees the status of every piece of equipment and pins the issues where they find them.
- 5
In the progress meeting, view mode with the dollhouse cut shows what is commissioned, in progress or blocked across the whole floor.
In more detail
Editing the plan
Select several elements to align, distribute, mirror or rotate them, create a linear array for a row of racks, and group them so they move together. Every action is one undo step, and nothing is stored until you save.
View mode
Top view, 3D view, fit to view, a dollhouse cut that lowers the walls, and a slow auto-rotate. The Layers menu toggles status markers, asset ID labels, issue pins, room areas, routes and see-through walls, and your choices are remembered.
Web and mobile
Drawing walls, placing equipment and routing services are done on the web. On the phone you open the same 3D scene, orbit it with one finger, pinch to zoom, tap equipment to open its asset, and pin, move or remove issue pins. PDF underlays are not shown on the phone.
Permissions and live updates
Viewing, creating, editing and deleting layouts are separate permissions, and a project admin can switch the module off for a project. The editor refreshes live when a colleague or the assistant changes the plan; if you have unsaved edits, an Updated elsewhere chip appears instead and your work is never overwritten.

Questions
Yes. Upload a floor plan PDF as the underlay, set its scale from a known distance such as a dimension line or a door, and trace the walls over it. You can show or hide the drawing, set its opacity, change the page and rotate it.
Yes, once an object is linked to an asset. It carries a floating marker in the asset's status colour with its ID, and clicking it opens the asset. Issue pins carry the issue's status colour in the same way.
Yes. The phone opens the same 3D scene for viewing and for pinning issues from the field, and it can create an empty layout for the assistant to build. Drawing by hand stays on the web.
